TRAVELS

Barbara recently returned from an around-the-world speaking trip covering three continents.  Since returning to the U.S., she has traveled to California, New York, Washington, D.C., and Branson, Missouri, for speaking engagements and the Guideposts Board Meetings, where she is a member of the Advisory Cabinet.


BOOKS AND ARTICLES

The story of “Johnny the Bagger™” will be reproduced in the book Loyalty is Love: How to Hold Clients Close for Life, written and published by Beverly A. Koehn, scheduled for release in May 2008.

Barbara wrote the foreword for a new book by Joan Fox, entitled The Chronicles of Sir Vival: Customer Service Under Siege (Cooper & Holman Publishers, 2007).

Mare Petras interviewed Barbara about strategies for staying fit on the go in her article “Taking the Road Well-Exercised,” featured in the March 2008 edition of Speaker magazine (p. 19).


ON THE RADIO

On April 2, Barbara was interviewed by Jim Turpin of WDWS Talk Radio 1400 in preparation for the 2008 Biennial Conference for Women at the University of Illinois, to be held in May. She is a presenter at the conference and will be speaking on “Integrating Work, Home and Family,” relating to topics in her book Balancing Acts—More than 250 Guiltfree, Creative Ideas to Blend Your Work and Your Life.

Barbara was interviewed on April 15 by Dave Warren of the Oasis Radio Network, discussing her books The Simple Truths of Service and The Simple Truths of Appreciation. You may hear her interview on www.oasisnetwork.org.
